Corporate Account Executive - Shipping Solutions
Stamps.com is seeking an individual with extensive entrepreneurial Sales experience. This role will lead the Southeastern regional business development efforts for a new corporate division, pursuing new accounts representing $500K - $5M in potential transactional revenue. This new product line is a software suite used by high volume shipping and logistics companies. The competitive field is intense and the Shipping Solutions team is poised to grow rapidly, so the ideal candidate is expected to step onto the playing field immediately. With a limited technical support staff, this role will make key presentations from the boardroom to the shipping dock. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and has a demonstrated track record of success working in a close-knit team as well as a fast-paced environment.
This role can be based out of a home office within the Southeastern United States.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting: Identify, research, and contact potential customers
- Problem-solving: Understand and address customer problems with both Stamps.com technology solutions and by working with partners and the US Postal Service
- Presentations: Prepare and deliver high-impact customer presentations
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with new customers
- Strategic Sales: Provide input into strategy for existing products and development of new product offerings
- Business alliance development: Establish and build strong relationships with the US Postal Service sales and marketing teams
- Acct Management: Technical and account support during implementation of new software solutions and shipping processes
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 - 10 years of corporate sales or business development experience, preferably within B2B and/or Technology Sales
- A track record of successfully targeting and winning new business opportunities
- Industry experience with overnight shipping, ground shipping, or small package logistics a definite plus
- Sound business judgment and excellent negotiation skills
- Creative and analytical problem solving skills
- Entrepreneurial energy
