New Hidden Postage™ Feature Enables Businesses, e–commerce Sites and Online Auctioneers to Ship More Successfully

SANTA MONICA, Calif. &ndash ;May 13, 2003 – Stamps.com™ (Nasdaq: STMP) announced today that it has added a new shipping capability called Hidden Postage™ to its service. The new feature enhances the Stamps.com service, resulting in a more powerful shipping solution for businesses, e–commerce sites and online auctioneers. Hidden Postage allows Stamps.com customers to print a shipping label without printing the actual value of the postage on the label.

“The cost of fulfilling an order involves not only postage–but also packaging, labor and handling. By hiding the postage amount of the shipment, businesses can more easily cover their full shipping and handling costs without causing customer complaints,” said Kyle Huebner, Vice President of Marketing and Strategy. “Hidden Postage increases the value proposition of our service and enables us to better target new shipping customers.”

The Hidden Postage feature is an advantage that PC Postage® customers have over traditional meter users and retail post office customers, since neither can print shipping labels without showing the postage cost. Prior to the advent of the Hidden Postage capability in PC Postage technology, businesses had to turn to shippers such as UPS or FedEx for this functionality.

With the new Hidden Postage feature, Stamps.com customers have the option of printing shipping labels either with or without the postage value displayed. Stamps.com shipping labels are printed on 8 ½” x 11” plain paper or labels. Customers save money with discounted electronic Delivery Confirmation™ or Signature Confirmation™ service and can check the delivery status of the package online. The Hidden Postage feature is currently available to Power Plan™ customers only.
