FAQs – Eagle Eye® Software
What is Eagle Eye Software?
Eagle Eye is a software based application that runs side-by-side with your UPS WorldShip™ software. As you input data into UPS WorldShip software to print a shipping label, Eagle Eye will compare the UPS shipping rates with an applicable USPS shipping service and will show you potential cost savings.
How does Eagle Eye work?
Eagle Eye uses data that is entered into the UPS WorldShip software delivery address and matches it to the USPS shipping rate database. If you adjust the UPS delivery service, Eagle Eye will automatically make the adjustment to the corresponding USPS delivery service. The small Eagle Eye window sits directly to the right of your UPS WorldShip software.
What can I do with Eagle Eye?
Eagle Eye will compare UPS and USPS shipping rates for comparable delivery methods in real-time. The software will alert you to savings that can be gained by using USPS over UPS. If you choose to ship with USPS, you can easily print USPS shipping labels directly through the Eagle Eye interface. You do not need to re-enter any of your shipping data.
How much does it cost?
For a limited time, Eagle Eye is free to use for UPS WorldShip users. When printing USPS shipping labels through Eagle Eye, USPS postage costs still apply.
Can Eagle Eye help me track my postage spending?
Yes. Once Eagle Eye is installed, it will recognize all of your print activity from the UPS WorldShip software. It stores all of the shipping rate comparison data in a “Savings Report” that will display UPS WorldShip rates, the corresponding USPS rates, and any cost savings.
Do I need UPS WorldShip software in order to run Eagle Eye?
Yes, you must be a UPS WorldShip user to run Eagle Eye on your computer.
Does Eagle Eye work with a Mac computer?
At present, the Eagle Eye software is designed for use with Windows operating systems only. Mac Users can still use the Eagle Eye software on Intel-based Macs (with Windows installed) or on Macs with PC emulation software.
What if I decide to stop using Eagle Eye?
You can close the Eagle Eye program and it will have no effect on your UPS WorldShip software. To start comparing shipping rates again, just re-open the Eagle Eye program.
How do I uninstall Eagle Eye?
You can uninstall the Eagle Eye software by opening “Add or Remove Programs” from the Control Panel. Select “Eagle Eye” and click “Remove.”
