File a Claim

Stamps.com Insurance customers receive fast claims processing from Parcel Insurance Plan (PIP).

PIP/Fireman's Fund is the underwriter for Stamps.com Insurance and one of America's largest and most financially secure insurance companies (rated A++ Superior by A.M. Best).

When to file a claim
If your package has been lost in the mail, please wait a minimum of 30 days since the time of your mailing before filing a claim. This will ensure that your package is indeed lost and not delayed.

If your package is damaged upon delivery, you may file an insurance claim immediately.

Claims filed more than 180 days since the time of mailing will not be accepted.

How to file a claim
Complete the claims form and submit it directly to PIP. Your claim will be processed within 10 business days.
    Step 1. In the Stamps.com software, click Activity
    Step 2. Click Insurance
    Step 3. Select a package from the list and click Claim
The form will be auto-filled with information specific to your package. Complete the remainder of the form and submit it directly to PIP.

If you prefer, you also may manually fill the Claims Form.
