How To Print NetStamps™

  1. Log in
Log into the Stamps.com software and select the "Postage" tab on the left navigation bar.

  2. Click the Postage tab
You will now see three tabs below the Postage tab: NETSTAMPS, MAILING, and SHIPPING. Click the NETSTAMPS tab.

  3. Type in the Serial Number
The Serial Number is located in the lower left corner of the label and is the first nine numbers to the left of the decimal (i.e. If your label says 101012321.001, then the label's Serial Number is 101012321).

On a sheet of labels, the Serial Number will be the same for each label on that specific sheet.

It is important to remember that the Serial Number you type into the software must match the Serial Number on the label for the postage to be valid.

After you print your NetStamps postage, the software will continue to display the same Serial Number. When using a different sheet of labels, you must type in the new Serial Number.

  4. Indicate the number of stamps you wish to print or select ALL

You may click on the LABEL DIAGRAM to select where the first stamp should print.

Label Tip: To help prevent misprints when printing multiple times on the same label sheet, it is recommended that you use the "bottoms up" approach. For example, if you are printing 5 NetStamps on a new label sheet, then begin your printing from labels 21-25 instead of 1-5.

  5. Enter the postage value for each stamp – you have two options:

You can SPECIFY THE VALUE by selecting the appropriate MAIL CLASS and entering a dollar value. We recommend using this option when you wish to print postage for International Mail, a different mail class, etc. You can visit TIPS & TOOLS for the USPS® rate calculator.

    OR

You can CALCULATE THE VALUE by selecting the appropriate MAILPIECE, WEIGHT and MAIL CLASS.

Note: You may be asked to type in the ZIP Code of the destination that your letter or package will be mailed to. This may be necessary because the actual postage rate may change based on the mail class selected and the region that your mailpiece is sent to.

  6. OPTIONAL: Add Special Services, select a Reference Code

You can also add USPS Special Services (e.g. Delivery Confirmation™, Certified Mail™, COD) by clicking on the SPECIAL SERVICES button and selecting the appropriate service. The Special Services amount will be automatically added to the postage.

You may also select a reference code for the postage that you print.

  7. Print a sample
Place a blank sheet of paper into your printer and click PRINT SAMPLE. The Print Sample feature allows you to make sure your printer is set up correctly and that your label sheet is correctly oriented. The postage will print with a VOID and you will not use up any postage.

  8. Place your NetStamps labels into your printer and click PRINT.
