How to Use

Stamps.com has created a number of Microsoft Word® templates associated with some of the more popular PC Postcard uses. We recommend that you print your custom messaging on the ‘blank’ side of the PC Postcard using your preferred word processing program before proceeding to the Stamps.com software to print the address information and postage on the ‘postage’ side.
Printing on ‘blank’ side:

To print on the ‘blank’ (front) side of the PC Postcards, we suggest printing a sample to ensure proper loading of loading of sheets in your printer.
- Once your Microsoft Word® file(s) are formatted correctly, take a new piece of plain paper and write the words ‘Front of Card’ along the top.

- Place the sheet in your printer’s tray or feeder so that the words ‘Front of Card’ are face up and feeding into the printer.

- Print the sample front of your postcard.

- Once you are sure your files are printing correctly, you are ready to print on the PC Postcards.

Note: The Postcard FIMS should always align to the left-most side of the sheets as you are loading them into the printer.
Printing on ‘postage’ side:

Before printing on the ‘postage’ (back) side of the PC Postcards, we suggest printing a sample to ensure proper loading of sheets in your printer.
- Complete mailing information by clicking on the USPS Postage tab in the Stamps.com software, then select Mailing.

- Select the appropriate Return Address and enter (or select from the address book) the Delivery Address of your PC Postcard recipients.

- Under Postage Details, select the proper Mail Class (Postcards).

- Under Print Details select the proper form that you are Printing On (Postcard – Stamps.com SDC-1400 (4-up)).

- Take a new piece of plain paper and write the words ‘Back of Card’ along the top. If using the same plain sheet of paper that was used for testing printing on the front, this should be written at the opposite end of sheet.

- Place the sheet in your printer’s tray or feeder so that the words ‘Back of Card’ are face up and feeding into the printer.

- Print the sample back of your postcard.

- You are now ready to print the address information and postage on your PC Postcards.

Note: The Postcard FIMS should always align to the left-most side of the sheets as you are loading them into the printer.
Printing Tips

Refer to your printer manual for the direction in which you should load sheets and for other loading and feeding recommendations, particularly for card stock, labels, etc. Many printers have special instructions for these types of products.
To ensure best results, we suggest that you manually feed one sheet of PC Postcards at a time. If any of your sheets have been damaged or have bent corners, do not run these sheets through your printer, as jams may occur. Before printing on the ‘Postage’ side of the cards, be sure to flatten the sheets to minimize curl.
