Stamps.com Premier - FAQ's

  • What are the new features available in Stamps.com Premier?
    Stamps.com Premier is our most complete mailing and shipping solution. In addition to all of the US Postal Service mail classes and special services, you can now print FedEx shipping labels for FedEx Express®, FedEx Ground®, and FedEx Home Delivery®.

    Whether you're using USPS services or FedEx shipping, you can use your address books, Stamps.com reports and reference codes, printer preferences and the easy-to-use Stamps.com interface to manage all of your mailing and shipping from one convenient place.

    Stamps.com Premier also simplifies the preparation and printing of Certified Mail™ and Return Receipt forms. Instead of filling out the Certified Mail form and the Return Receipt "green card" for each piece of mail, you can now use our custom-designed one-piece forms, to print your postage, addresses, the Certified Mail receipt and the green card all in one step.

  • How is Stamps.com Premier different from Stamps.com Pro (or the "Power Plan")?
    Loaded with our most advanced features (FedEx shipping, Certified Mail processing, and more) Stamps.com Premier is designed for professional offices with specialized mailing and shipping needs. Stamps.com Premier includes a high-speed print driver (enabling over 20 labels per minute), access to more reference codes (up to 50) and a higher postage meter limit ($500).

    Stamps.com Pro is a complete USPS mailing and shipping solution that will meet the needs of most small business and home users. It enables you to print US postage for virtually any mail class and includes convenient integrations for small offices and valuable features for shippers, such as Hidden Postage™ and email shipment notification. The maximum print speed of 15 labels per minute, use of up to 10 reference codes and a postage meter limit of $250 will meet the needs of most users.

    (Note: If you originally signed up on the "Power Plan," your features will be very similar to Stamps.com Pro).

  • I already have a FedEx account. Can I use Stamps.com Premier to print my FedEx shipping labels?
    YES! If you have an existing FedEx account, you keep the same account information, billing arrangements, and any special discounts you have today. Stamps.com Premier just makes managing your shipping easier!

    Once you enter your existing FedEx Account number into Stamps.com Premier, the Stamps.com software will give you the correct rates for your account and pass your package information along directly to FedEx when you print a FedEx label.

    Stamps.com Premier customers are also eligible for a special discount program from FedEx. Whether you have an account already or want to sign up for a new FedEx account, you can choose to take advantage of a 21% savings on FedEx Express® and a 15% savings on FedEx Ground® shipping over 10lbs. You will be given this option when you activate your FedEx account in Stamps.com.

  • Do I pay for FedEx shipping through Stamps.com?
    No. You will be billed for all FedEx shipping directly by FedEx and separate from your postage or Stamps.com charges.

  • How do the Certified Mail forms work?
    For the first time, you can send Certified Mail without having to fill out any forms by hand. With Stamps.com Certified Mail forms you can print Certified Mail and Return Receipt information, addresses, postage and your receipt in a single step.

    We offer two different forms: the Certified Mail Label (SDC-3900) is an 8½ x 11" sheet with one set of Certified Mail labels - it is very flexible and can be used with regular or large envelopes, thick envelopes, flats, packages, etc. The Certified Mail Envelope (SDC-3800) is more convenient when sending a standard #10 envelope or when your mail piece contents fit in the attached #11 envelope. Both forms are offered in 25 and 250 packs and available in the online store.

  • Do I still need to go to the Post Office if I use the Stamps.com Certified Mail forms?
    You don't need to go to the Post Office to send a Certified Mail piece or receive a Return Receipt. However, if you need proof that your mail piece was sent, you must present the receipt with the mail piece for acceptance at your local Post Office to be postmarked with the date of mailing.

  • What does Stamps.com Premier cost?
    $24.99 per month. No hidden fees, no long-term obligation.

  • Can I switch back to Stamps.com Pro if I try Premier?
    Absolutely! There is no obligation at all. If you decide that Premier is not the right fit for your business, just switch back to Stamps.com Pro from within your software.

    If you encounter any difficulty switching back from within the software (this may occur during the first few days after you make the switch), simply contact customer support via email or phone and we will switch your service back to Stamps.com Pro.

    From time to time, we will offer free trials of Stamps.com Premier. If we have automatically upgraded you to the Premier service, you do not need to do anything to switch back to Stamps.com Pro - at the end of your free trial, you will be automatically switched back. If you want to continue with the Premier service, you will need to change your service plan in your software.
