How to Request a Postage Refund

Important: Beginning August 21, 2004, all shipping labels refunds must be submitted on-line within 48 hours of the time the labels were printed. (We will no longer accept any Shipping Label refund claims submitted via regular mail).

To submit a Shipping Label refund claim on-line, simply use the Account Activity tab found in the Stamps.com software.

  1. Log into the Stamps.com software.

  2. Click on "Printed" on the left.

  3. Select the appropriate checkboxes for each print you would like refunded.

  4. Note: e/Refund requests must be made separately from "Mail-In" requests.

  5. Click the "Request Refund" button to submit your request.

  6. If your mailpiece was a qualified e/Refund, you will see the following dialog confirming your selection(s):

    • Select the checkbox next to the statement certifying that you understand that false submissions are subject to federal mail fraud regulations.
    • Click the "Submit" button.

Note: Qualified e/Refund claims must be submitted within 10 days from the time the postage was printed. You will be notified via email when your account has been credited. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for processing.

  7. If your mailpiece was a qualified Mail-In refund, a new browser window will open to the PC Postage® Refund Request form.

    • Review your claim submission for accuracy.
    • Select the reason that best describes your refund request for each claim.
    • Click the "Create Printer Ready Form" button.
    • Print the PC Postage Refund Request form by selecting the print button at the bottom of the page.
    • Sign the form to certify that you understand that false submissions are subject to federal mail fraud regulations.
    • Mail the signed form and all qualified evidence of printing* to the address located at the bottom of the form.

    • Note: Qualified Mail-In claims must be submitted within 60 days of the printed mailing date on the postage. You will be notified via email when your account has been credited. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing.

*Review the U.S. Postal Service policy on Mail-In refund claims.
