RGS Title is a medium sized financial services organization servicing the mortgage sector throughout the Eastern United States.
Challenge
As part of the Financial Sector servicing the Mortgage Industry, the day–to–day business operations of RGS Title involve large quantities of postage of all types. Previous to using Stamps.com, RGS Title was locked into an extended contract to rent expensive, bulky and inflexible Pitney Bowes meters for the postage needs of each of their twenty offices. These meters came with a hefty monthly rental fee, required large quantities of expensive consumables such as custom ink cartridges and custom printer rolls and did not provide any reporting capabilities to administrators.
As the organization grew, the Pitney Bowes hardware solutions proved to be inflexible and extremely expensive to support their locations with. It was quickly becoming clear that a more flexible, powerful and robust solution was needed to service the postage needs of RGS Title into the future.
Solution
In 2006 RGS Title began a comprehensive search for an alternative to their Pitney Bowes postage meters. They reviewed the offerings from several solution providers but quickly realized that the Stamps.com solution is the most trusted PC postage solution available in the industry today. RGS Title conducted a month long trial program at several of their locations with Stamps.com receiving rave reviews from all involved. From there, Teresa began rolling out the Stamps.com solution throughout their entire organization, including smaller locations that could not previously be provided with a solution.

Cost Savings
Stamps.com Enterprise has dramatically reduced overall postage and shipping expenses at RGS Title by providing them with the ability to leverage the hardware they already own. RGS Title had been locked into long term leases on postage meters at each of their locations, resulting in expensive rental fees that were compounded by hidden costs such as overly expensive ink refills and custom printing rolls, required for each piece of postage printed. With Stamps.com Enterprise, no extra equipment is required, no special labels or ink refills are needed and multi-year contracts are a thing of the past.
Reporting
One of the most important features that RGS Title was looking for in a postage management solution was a powerful, networked reporting capability. Pitney Bowes postage meters allowed no visibility into the postage patterns or expenses in locations other than the corporate headquarters. Because RGS Title has 20 locations, this posed a major problem as well as a liability. With Stamps.com Enterprise, the system administrator located at the corporate headquarters has the ability to instantly review activity in all of their locations, preparing detailed reports that can focus all the way down to the user level. Stamps.com Enterprise has enabled the RGS Title to manage their postage activities and expenses in a way that was not possible before. This capability has increased employee accountability and dramatically decreased accounting errors.
Flexibility
The relatively low fee of individual Stamps.com accounts enables RGS Title to grant each of their locations all the capabilities of the larger offices, even down to the home user. This ensures that the productivity, professional appearance and corporate standards that RGS Title prides itself on can be represented evenly throughout the organization, no matter where business is being conducted.
