Netscape is offering Stamps.com Internet Postage to its more than 20 million registered users through several Netscape services, and is enabling Stamps.com Internet Postage to be downloaded from its SmartDownload, Bookmarks and Premier Plug-ins services. Soon, Stamps.com software will also be pre-loaded on the installer of the next-generation Netscape Browser and offered as part of Netscape’s SmartUpdate area.

At any point during the download process, Netscape’s SmartDownload user can pause, stop, resume and/or recover the downloads of any large files from anywhere.

  • Browser Plug-Ins: Stamps.com is featured prominently throughout the Netscape Plug-Ins service, linking users directly to a co-branded Stamps.com page. The Netscape Plug-Ins service continues to enhance its users’ experience on the Web by enabling users to choose from a multitude of multimedia, video, audio, and browser enhancements.

  • Bookmarks: Stamps.com Internet Postage will be pre-loaded on the next-generation Netscape Browser. Pre-loading Internet Postage will provide Netscape’s vast audience instant access to this valuable service.

  • Installer for the next-generation Browser and SmartUpdate: Coming soon, Stamps.com will be easily accessible through the installer of the next-generation browser and Netscape’s SmartUpdate area. Smart Update enables the Netscape Netcenter audience to seamlessly download and upgrade the most valuable software products without the having to restart their computers or fuss with manual installs and manual updates.
