Stamps.com Reaches 200,000,000th Postage Print Milestone

Company momentum continues in the third quarter

SANTA MONICA, Calif, — September 10, 2003 – Stamps.com (Nasdaq:STMP – News) today announced that it is the first PC Postage® vendor to surpass 200 million all time postage prints, widening its lead as the most popular online postage service. In addition, during the third quarter, the company has continued to experience good momentum including increased acquisition of customers, continued robust sales of NetStamps labels, and good sales of new store items targeted for high-volume mailers and shippers.

During the third quarter, Stamps.com’s new marketing programs have begun to build customer acquisition momentum. New product features, including NetStamps, Shipping Labels and Hidden Postage Labels, are also attracting more high-volume mailers and shippers, leading to increased overall usage of the Stamps.com service.

The company’s innovative feature NetStamps™ recently celebrated its one year anniversary, and it continues to be the company’s most popular new product feature. Since NetStamps launched in July 2002, more than 2.5 million sheets of NetStamps labels have been sold. During the summer, Stamps.com introduced its patriotic-themed Liberty NetStamps labels and the labels have been popular with customers. Stamps.com plans to introduce a new holiday-themed NetStamps label during the fourth quarter.

Stamps.com is also expanding and diversifying its store offerings with new products for high-volume users. Stamps.com recently began selling a dedicated postage printer and its associated label rolls, and initial sales have been good. During the fourth quarter the company plans to add additional items to its store that will enhance the convenience and value proposition for its customers.
