The USPS® offers a service called Carrier Pickup™ that allows you to arrange to have your packages picked up by your letter carrier at the same time your mail is delivered. Carrier Pickup is free and available when you send your mail using one of the following methods:
Your carrier will also pick up packages sent by alternate methods (Parcel Select Ground, First-Class™, Media Mail, etc.) if there is at least one Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express or approved International package in your shipment. There is no limit to the number of packages you may send via Carrier Pickup, although the maximum weight per package is 70 pounds.
You may schedule a pickup online through the USPS Website; if you are a Stamps.com customer, you can easily schedule a pickup from inside the software at your convenience with just a few clicks.
When you schedule a pickup, your letter carrier will collect your packages on a specified delivery day. The soonest your packages will be collected is the next delivery day. USPS delivery days are Monday through Saturday, excluding holidays.
You may schedule a Carrier Pickup up to three months in advance, and you may also schedule multiple pickups at a time. If you need to, you can modify or cancel a request at any time before 2:00 a.m. Central Time on the requested pickup date.
Once your package has been collected, your letter carrier will leave a pickup notification to provide you with peace of mind.
When you combine the convenience of Carrier Pickup with the ease of Stamps.com, you and your staff can skip the Post Office and send out everything you need without leaving your home or office. Not only does Stamps.com let you print official, USPS-approved postage from the comfort of your own home or office, it also gives you instant, 24/7 access to all the USPS services you need, including postage rate discounts, Certified Mail, USPS Tracking, insurance, and more.
